Job Summary

Beck is looking for a qualified QA/QC Inspector to join an extraordinary project team.



  • Performs inspections of installed and operating process systems in Life Science or technical/manufacturing facilities.
    • Review approved construction specifications, table of contents for the ETOP, pages with (Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs) for the system from Validation Master Plan (VMP) and system specs, if applicable.
    • Review and Approve the specified Table of Contents for the ETOP deliverables
  • Ensures installed systems comply with the Beck QA/QC program, all contractual documents, and the current set of specifications.
    • Compare a copy of the as-built change P&ID to ensure the scope for change is in alignment and documented in the drawings, revision clouds
  • Gathers and analyzes quality data that provides leading indications of process and operational issues so they can be corrected to minimize impact on schedules and financial indicators.
    • Purchase Orders - spot checked for quantity all Purchase Orders and verify when is received on site.
    • Weld Inspections Inspect all welding Operations and qualification certificates dates.
      • Confirm borescope logs and videos comply with ETOP requirements.
      • Weld Coupons - Daily weld coupon logs and coupons can be cross-referenced against the ISOs
    • Passivation - The completeness and accuracy of the passivation documentation
  • Discusses and makes recommendations to job site and leadership team on solutions to correct root causes of quality related issues. Schedules and monitors field testing on installed systems.
  • Performs additional duties as required supporting project Senior Mechanical Superintendent and MEP Supervisor.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in Quality Control of Process Piping and Orbital Welding
  • College graduate with a relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying.
  • 7+ years of construction experience in industrial/technical manufacturing facilities as a Superintendent, Field Engineer, Project Manager, or Project Engineer required, as well as experience in Quality Control.
  • Ability to travel and take temporary Assignments
  • Will need to pass client background check requirements
