What you bring to the table

Beck is looking for a qualified Mechanic to join an extraordinary team in Dallas. The job involves the following essential functions:

  • Repairs gas and diesel powered vehicles and/or equipment according to standards.
  • Inspects and diagnoses various problems.
  • Overhauls and maintains gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical, and other related systems.
  • Maintains and repairs various on and off road equipment to include: tractors and attachments, mowers, generators, skid loaders, air compressors, forklifts, a wide variety of landscape and construction equipment.
  • Rebuilds hydraulic pumps, mower components, hydrostatic drive units, reel units, gas and diesel engines, clutch and transmissions.
  • Welds on occasion.
  • Adjusts fuel systems and performs tune-ups.
  • Test vehicles before and after repairs.
  • Provides roadside assistance for emergency repairs out of shop.
  • Completes a work order on every vehicle or piece of equipment repaired.
  • Maintain parts and supplies inventory.
  • Keeps tools, equipment, and shop area clean and orderly.
  • Attends training and meetings as needed.
  • Required to operate a forklift.

Who we think will be a great fit

A person with the willingness to learn and stay up to date on latest mechanical equipment techniques and technologies. The candidate will also have the ability to proactively identify and solve problems and communicate effectively and collaboratively with all team members.

You also meet the following requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience repairing motor vehicles and/or equipment.
  • Minimum of a Valid "Class D" Driver's License
  • Basic computer skills required
  • "Class A" CDL License preferred

Physical Demands:

Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment; frequently ascends/descends ladders and stairs; constantly works in outdoor weather conditions; frequently moves equipment up to 50Ibs to various locations on site; constantly communicates with jobsite field staff and other members of the project team; ability to constantly move around job site; ability to adhere to consistent and timely attendance.
